Music & Sound Effects

Location
We mainly filmed the video at the Waterside Shops parking garage because it was the perfect setting for a murder to occur. Nonetheless, I also filmed at night because I wanted the film to have an ominous effect towards the audience and filming during the day would not achieve the same effect. After the parking garage, I then filmed at a storefront that was just below the garage and a perfect setting for a wealthy man to be at. Moreover, we also filmed at Port Royal, a rich part of Naples, because there are many large houses and nice cars there, it is also near the beach. The last place we filmed is on Wolfe Road, a nearly empty road that has no traffic and one flickering traffic light. This road is a perfect get away for the main character to bring the stolen vehicle.

Equipment
For my film, I used the Canon 70D to record footage. It produced very clear footage; however, the only problem I had was that I filmed during the night, so the video appears to be slightly grainy. Additionally, I used a tripod to have greater control and stability over the camera and it worked very well during the car shots. Lastly, a phone and an external microphone were used to pickup clear audio. Moreover, one piece of equipment that we did include is a drone for clear, aerial shots.

Software
The software my partner and I will use to edit our final project will be Final Cut ProX. This program was developed by Apple for professional film editing. On its initial release, Final Cut Pro X was met with mixed reviews as many video editors eschewed its dramatic departure from the traditional editing interface and the dropping of many legacy (and some non-legacy) features. At the time of the initial release, a significant number of long-time Final Cut Pro users considered the new product to be an unsatisfactory product undeserving to be part of Final Cut Pro product line.On October 27, 2016, Apple unveiled Final Cut Pro 10.3, which included a redesigned interface, enhanced window resizing, extended multiple display support, support for the Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro, and an updated version of the Magnetic Timeline.
Film Poster
My film poster is based on my opening film that I created recently called, Vice City. The film poster is directed towards the main subject in the image, crime. Included a picture of a weapon because it shows the audience that the protagonist is lethal. Nonetheless, the main colors used were fruity. The color black portrays the dark side of the protagonists personality, while the fruity colors represent the chill style of Vice City. The white lettering has a Pink glow and contrasts well with the black background. Moreover, character in the poster is blurred to keep a secret identity.
Genre
The genre of our opening film is an action movie associated with organized crime and criminals.
When creating such a film, there must be different conventions that are typically present in more
famous blockbuster action films. In films such as The Fast and The Furious, the use of weapons is very
prevalent in all of the movies, showing that the criminals at large are not afraid to hurt others in order
to get what they want. We also want to incorporate important editing techniques such as jump cuts that
will allow the film opening to transition in a fast pace in order to keep the viewers wanting more. Most
importantly, the utilization of common action conventions will allow our film to be very similar in structure
and format to the movies people see in the theaters.

Theme
There will be several themes incorporated into our opening film. We want to stress the importance of the
main character. He is not simply any character, and their is a long story behind his name and legacy. Another
theme we will make sure to include, is the theme underlying the world of crime. Essentially, criminals think
differently than normal samaritans, they can be ruthless, think outside the box, and hurt more people
than they initially intended. We want our audience to know that this is indeed a crime-action film, because
it will be the main premise of the movie plot. In terms of representation, We aim to have multiple forms of
representation. The most important of them being the personal development of the main character
as he undergoes all the grueling events.

Style
This major genre type includes films that have tremendous impact, continuous high energy, lots of physical stunts and activity, possibly extended chase scenes, races, rescues, battles, martial arts, mountains and mountaineering, destructive disasters (floods, explosions, natural disasters, fires, etc.), fights, escapes, non-stop motion, spectacular rhythm and pacing, and adventurous heroes - all designed for pure audience escapism with the action sequences at the core of the film.
They almost always have a resourceful protagonist struggling against incredible odds, life-threatening circumstances, or an evil villain, and/or trapped or chasing each other in various modes of transportation (bus, auto, ship, train, plane, horseback, on foot, etc.), with victory or resolution attained by the end after strenuous physical feats and violence (fist fights, gunplay). Action films have traditionally been aimed at male audiences, ages 13 to the mid-30s in both American and world-wide markets.

Social Issue
The social issue pertains to social classes and the fight over money. When the protagonist steals the vehicle
from the rich man, he feels good inside, as he is taking from a man that never ceases to flaunt his wealth
instead of helping those below him. The car symbolizes a sign of his wealth that arouses different feelings
in the protagonist as he always had to grind for what he wanted and earned.
